Who we are
SELFIE – Self-reflection on Effective Learning by Fostering the use of Innovative Educational technologies is a free tool, designed to help schools embed digital technologies into teaching, learning and assessment and therefore identify the digital readiness of schools. Our website address is: https://selfiewbl.tools.
What we collect and store
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Form Fields Data: Forms Fields data includes the available field types when creating a form. We’ll use this to, for example, collect information like Name, Email and other available fields.
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like geolocating users and reducing fraudulent activities.
When you fill up a form, we’ll ask you to provide information including your email and optional account information like username and password and any other form fields available in the registration form.
If you create an account, we will store your username and email, which will be used to populate the form fields for future submissions.
Embedded content from other websites
Courses on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who on our team has access
Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Editors can access:
- Form submission information and other details related to it
- Customer information provided in the registration.
Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill entries and support you.
Where your data is sent
User submission and visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Analytical data about visitors traffic is collected via matomo analytics for statistical purposes (https://matomo.org/).
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
